| Skips are clearly mattress magnets. I've driven past this skip for about 3 weeks. But not to be disappointed, sure enough a skip migrated to its natural habitat, the builders skip. |

But you're right. skip is a terrible word for the large yellow item in the photograph. particularly when you consider 'skip' as a verb: to jump repeatedly over circling rope, or, to omit... nevertheless, such objects definitely have strange magnetic power on mattresses in this country. |

I've always thought that our word, "dumpster," sounds like the item itself will be doing the dumping, though. We don't have "bad bases" here, either - I've learned something. Streetmattresses are contributing to international understanding! |

1. A skip is the big yellow thing in the picture, they are used to hold builders rubble, etc.
2. The water slide is a load of plastic sectional tubes joine together to guide the rubbish into the builders skip.
3. Skips in this country seem to be skip magnets.
