I thought the Clintons had another game in mind

Not a very accurate song quote below by wim. It should read: "Blue is the colour, football is the game, we're all together and winning is our aim. So cheer us on through the sun and rain, cos Chelsea, Chelsea is our name."

Could be wim, but in the US it's all about money!

in my line of work I was confronted a few months ago with a company fabricating mettresses, having the bad luck the owners name sounded like Simmons, hence the were taken into court and finally went broke. They did not have any other patterns than white or beige, but the owner explained it partially to be fashion, partially because of the tissue manufacturers do not produce coloured matts any more, because colouring has to be on a waterbased paint recently. So it is more a matter of environment then a matter of price

As part of the matress label industry now I've learned that in the North American market the matress companies are not producing different fabric colors or patterns any more. It's either white or beige. A part of cost cutting. The way they differentiate is with creative and unique labels identifing brands and wholesalers. I'm not for certain but I would guess all colored matts would have been manufactured prior to the last several years, in North America anyway. With that theory it would account for the reason they are all on the street. So in the next decade all streetmatts will be of the white or beige family. Any thoughts?

I agree, you must have a high quality camera. Great shots.

I really like your photos, Robert. I reckon you should have more than two de Milos by now. West Oakland seems to be a mattress goldmine decked out in pastel shades that lend themselves to pleasing shots, but you have a great eye for composition. Keep 'em coming!
