In an alleyway which has yielded a good few mattresses in the past, another beauty awaited my return visit.

I cruised by this place today - totally cleared! All 200 yards of it. All ready for the next batch of mattresses. I mean, it was getting hard to walk up any distance, which is why this mattress was dumped right in the entrance.

I'm with SS on this one.I always look at new submissions backwards.Perhaps viewing them the other(forwards)way is a colonial thing?!?

I've never thought you were even remotely dim...I don't know about that backwards thing though.

I'd have to be pretty dim not to have realised this! I have occasionally done a bit of reverse-order submitting (e.g. my “Alley Stack” quartet starting with matt #7412, currently on p20 of my showcase) but the streetmattress.com time-line runs (counter-intuitively) from present to past, (i.e. if you navigate to the right you go back in time, not forward as you might expect) so if you submit all pics in strict chronological order all the viewer needs to do to get a sense of your mattress life as it was lived is navigate “backwards” in your showcase. So, in this case, a reverse-submitted sequence will not be viewed as intended, and will be going "against the flow" when seen in the context of the whole.

SS, I'm surprised you haven't caught on to this yet, but maybe you don't care...if you want the viewer to see your mattresses in a particular order, you must submit them in reverse order.
