It so happens that Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich were a British band in the 60s who had a string of very catchy, non-self-penned hits, each one successively and successfully plundering a different ethnic musical style. "Zabadak" was one. Very popular in the UK and with wim, they were not, I think, successful in the U.S. It seems they are still touring here. Does this help? |
