| FOD40UK commented on 12.10.04 | | Is it a WWII bunker?We have them like that in parks around here(only without the posh georgian door surround)They were built in 1940,so that grandad(armed with pitchfork)could protect us from the marauding nazi paratroopers when Adolf came a knockin'.Luckily,we had Spitfires(and Hurricanes)on our side,so it never came to that.We spent many a happy childhood hour re-enacting D-day in one of these(with catapults and waterbombs) |
