| Calexico has an unemployment rate of 23 percent, and 50 percent of the children live in poverty. In the stores and restaurants, one is greeted in Spanish. People stopped what they were doing and stared at me. As I was leaving, I was caught in a dust and thunder storm, and I came home with dust in my ears and under my fingernails. |

| wim commented on 08.19.04 | | I would stop what I was doing too, if I would see you with your ears on the ground, crawling, pulling yourself forward with your fingernails, buttoms up and howling " je ne veux que le matelas sur photo ". But then perhaps it is just a reaction on seeing Ghost Dog a third time, appreciating the movie better and better. |
