Ellis Island has a long history and is probably the basis of a lot of Americans. In some way a passport is something difficult in the US, it's the hardest country to get in. Can somebody give me a reason? PS: this one is taken a few years ago, before they restored Ellis Island in original condition, it's a pic of a pic but forgot the real photographers name.

Visas are hard to come by because once you have one you can pretty much stay here forever, due to our lax interior immigration enforcement.
