This must be the weirdest mattress I've seen. Wire down the sides, each spring sewn into its own individual cell of fabric.

I thought it looked more like an ammonite. (of, Wim: een ammenooitniet.)

It does look like a caterpillar, but it also reminded me of a meringue.

You learn something new everyday...Looks like something from the insect world.

cost nearly a gazillion dollars too

give or take a few
Smart Set commented on 05.05.08
Interesting. A gazillion is 2870. That's useful to know.
robert k commented on 05.05.08
no. according to the description it actually has 2870 coils in two layers. I can also unzip the mattress cover and switch around the two layers. Cost more than our custom made bed.

Thanks. So has your matt got the wire, rk?

Great shot. The matt looks like an ammonite fossil

we have a "European Sleepworks" German-made matt on our bed with a gazillion individually wrapped coils. We love it. One thing is we can move around and not disturb each other or little-P when she's lying in between us. Great pic btw well-deserved dM
