Too far for the flash to do any good so I winged a manual and it is not that blurry for a 1/5 sec handheld exposure if I do say so myself and I do.

I am unable to follow this conversation, please help me out, although I recall apples being bigger when I was a kid

I've never met anyone else who had this "everything looks far away" thing as a child. It was pretty freaky. I wouldn't mind experiencing it again, though, because I wouldn't be scared now. It took me ages to find a reference to it on the web (which I did only recently), as I didn't know its name, and earlier searches on the same words yielded nothing. I suppose some obscure things take a while to appear on the web.

What a question! Mac, of course! What else? I have a large screen G4 but that's been appropriated by the kids. So I'm on the laptop. I'm happy with the font size but sometimes I wish the pictures were larger. I'll have a fiddle with the display resolution, thanks for the tip.

SE: SS is correct in you can change the size of your display font. To increase the size of images you have to decrease your display resolution. If your eyesight is really bad you might be stuck staying with a CRT as LCDs will only go so low. Mine will go down to 800x600. Laptops have the same problem only worse as they tend to have smaller screens to start with and then tend to run a higher default resolution. Are you a Mac or PC?

Wow that has a name. My room used to get small when I was a child in the middle of the night, my friend experienced it too.

Smart Set commented on 06.25.07
I don't think the pictures can be a different size, just the text. I know you can change the text size via View, but the laptop experience was more than that, or rather, less. Google micropsia, it's very interesting. I used to get it as a child and it was terrifying. No one knew what it was back then.

Sleepeasy commented on 06.25.07
You mean there's a way of seeing the pictures larger? That would be a help. I thought it was just my failing eyesight. Or micropsia. It's not in my dictionary but I can hazard a guess.

Smart Set commented on 06.25.07
I have seen this site on a laptop and everything was smaller, so that's why some of you can see all the way to tikifish, but it was too small for my liking, like having micropsia.

wim commented on 06.24.07
started reading too late, gues my sony is similar to whatever Dan uses, nice truck btw

wim commented on 06.24.07
my screen goes down to tikifish. I wonder what she is doing now, I still think she made great pictures

SS: is that anything like a Catscruf drip tube, we have one of those as our feline is getting up in years. I fail to see what that has to do with computers.

ART commented on 06.23.07
SS: there is no more to see ;-), I can see Erin

Smart Set commented on 06.23.07
Cathode ray tube - as opposed to LCD flatscreen job.

DVD Dan commented on 06.23.07
CRT? explain ;)

Smart Set commented on 06.23.07
My 17" CRT monitor, set to 800x600, plus a few toolbars at the top means I can only see to ART.

DVD Dan commented on 06.22.07
Thanks SS, I forgot I was that close. What do you all have tiny monitors or bad eyesight? I can see to tikifish.

robert k commented on 06.22.07
SE i can see all the way to Nigel, so you only need to double your submissions for me to see you w/o scrolling.

Smart Set commented on 06.22.07
Good luck. The way my screen is set up I can only see the top 11 names.

Sleepeasy commented on 06.22.07
Shall I now divulge my ambition on Streetmattress? My master plan, my highest aim? It is to get so high up the list that I don't have to scroll down the page to find my name on the submissions page. That means toppling Nancy Dumpling's mum. Watch out, here I come...!
