| Funny thing, language. In Dutch we call them "holle wegen""hollow roads", in English they have sunken.Has it to do with a nautical way of thinking? The matts were found near such a road.There aren't much of them left in Belgium, people want to Macadam everything and forget the historical need of sunken roads. |
