I would think it's an American reference wim due in part to using wigwam and teepee. The british have any ancient peoples living in canvased animal hide dwellings?

Duh. I've only just got it. I thought it was something to do with two tenths, like a "one can short of a six-pack" kind of joke. I've never had much of a sense of math, that'll be it.

not really chaf, but I was amasezd that british used an american joke, or the other way round

I've never seen "New Tricks" wim. "two tents" is just an "old joke"...did youlaugh when you got it?

Chaf, could it be we watch the same stuff on tv? "New Tricks" a slow serial with retired policemen and a woman in charge. Heard the joke this evening, and finally understood "2 tence = too tents"

Sometimes I wake up in the morning with a teepee in my bed.

This guy walks into a psychiatrists office and tells the doctor: "Sometimes I feel like a teepee and sometimes I feel like a wigwam." The doctor looks at him and says: "Your to tents."
