dutch for french - 04.01.06
submitter: wim rutten
location:Eysden, Holland
The sign is of cours in Dutch, as it is in Holland, but for a French-speaking Belgian it does not make a lot of sense. The name of the city of LIEGE is translated into LUIK. To be honest, a city by he name of LUIK does not exist. It is a bad habit to translate that kind of names. If a German wants to go to Aachen, he'll find just a few kilometers further signs "Aix-la-chapelle", which is French for German. But the Grmans do the same with LIEGE, they indicate it as LUTTICH.

the reason why we don't split up our country, is that we don't now where places belong
