dave d, I look after my many children at home, do some occasional proofreading (at an occasional table), write music and help police with their enquiries.

mzmattress is right, Steve. What took longer was trying to work out what the newspaper caption said.

The lives of Dr David Marsh and his wife Clair [that's her on the bed] changed forever when their holiday was interrupted by the first Bali bombings, in 2002. They worked for 18 hours straight helping victims. And their efforts have continued in the years since. They are now loading nearly $900,000 worth of medical equipment into a 13-metre container that sails for Bali later this month [Nov '05]. Another container, with about 40 beds from Epworth Hospital and other equipment, was sent earlier this year and donations are coming in so quickly that they expect to have a third ready for shipment around the end of the year. "We've established a special relationship between Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar and the people of Victoria," Marsh says. "We've helped re-equip Sanglah Hospital, as well as another in the north of the island and we're being asked to help out a third." The Marshes have received OAMs in recognition of their efforts and are now getting support from an unexpected quarter - the small, independent Melbourne City Opera.
