the actual distance between crane and mattresses will forever remain a mystery. mattresses are gone. but the cranes remain. excellent anagram btw.

That one just jumped out at me, wim, but for longer ones I use the Internet Anagram Server. By "something in your boat" I'm guessing you mean "is that the sort of thing you like/know about?". "Up your street" as we Brits say. Elvis in dead languages isn't really up my street, although I tried reading "Winnie ille Pu" once. Soon gave up.

how do you do those anagrams at such a speed.Est ut aut numquam.Broadcasted today on belgian radio. A version in classic latin, sung by a finnish professor. It's now or never. He even had Jailhouse Rock in Summerian. Something in your boat SS?

Interestingly, "American" is an anagram of "I'm a crane".

That's spooky! Robert was posting his reply just as I was asking him to pop back!
Smart Set commented on 03.13.06
I think you're right, wim. Robert, perhaps you could pop back with a tape measure and settle it.

wim's right it is a crane - 'american' brand. distance? about 10 feet.
wim commented on 03.11.06
I would even suggest not more than 6 feet. looks like a crane to me

A great shot but SS it couldn't have fooled you for long look at the shadows

It's difficult to tell how far away that "America" sign is. At first I assumed it was about thirty/forty feet away, but now I think it's no more than twelve.
