I would say that the word "shedding" could be used when referring to sheds considered as a group, following the example of "housing". On the other hand, "bedding" means bedclothes, not beds, so perhaps "shedding" *could* mean the contents of a shed. "unshed" is an existing word, as in "unshed tears".
