| I had about 30 minutes to spare in the vicinity of Harlesden. How many matts could I get? The times were recorded by my camera. Approximately 3 minutes into the hunt I found the first, a cake-like example, at 12.15pm. |

You can get mini-battenbergs in the UK that have chocolate on top of the marzipan, but that's gilding the lily, or would be, were the chocolate not of an inferior grade. A battenberg is generally consumed with tea or coffee here, not alcohol. |
