Mildred - 10.18.05
submitter: Chaf
location:Burlington, NC
After the balloon shot I took Mildred for a walk. She wanted to be in a picture. I told her we already submitted this matt but she said please. So for Mildreds sake please post. She's really a good dog and loves the SM web site.

A dog went to a Western Union office, took out a blank telegram form and wrote, "Woof.. woof.. woof.. woof.. woof.. woof.. woof.. woof." The clerk examined the paper and said, "There are only nine words here. You could send another 'woof' for the same price." "But," the dog replied, "then it would make no sense at all."

We have 'Archie'(Versace) and Ginger Dave (both female, which causes some confusion)

I have this thing about having two cats; one with a normal name and one with an unusual name. I've had Henry and Lumpy, Fred and Ski, etc.

I have this thing about naming my pets after dead relatives on my fathers side. They were a crew of fourth generation old Irish, Italians from New Jersey. A real lively bunch with old fashioned names...Mildred, Jerry, Pete, Duffy...you get the idea.

Oh right, gotcha.

Sorry - I was on the phone and trying to comment at the same time. I know about the SM peeps and their cats but all of the felines I have seen posing have been random strays. BUT...please do correct me and point me in the right direction.

Nancy Dumpling commented on 10.18.05
Yes but I have never seen their cats on this site?!

Smart Set commented on 10.18.05
What do you mean? I've just listed the owners' names, and you know the names of FOD's and Rebecca's, don't you? And mine are called Molly and Jim.

Nancy Dumpling commented on 10.18.05
They don't have names or owners we know!!!

Smart Set commented on 10.18.05
There are loads of SM cats. Mine, FOD's V3's, Rebecca's, ummm...

Nancy Dumpling commented on 10.18.05
Hmmm. Now you have me thinking....what have I done to my cats???...one named after a scientist that created a monster, one after a dead (lesbian) singer, one after an extrene cocaine sniffing narcissist and the last after a flabby round ball of edible lard. Not the best start in life. But as there are few SM cats, maybe it's all ok.

Smart Set commented on 10.18.05
Sure it's a nice name for a dog, but I'm concerned that it might age her in the eyes of other SM dogs e.g. Coop or Mattress Mutt.

Chaf commented on 10.18.05
She's named after an Aunt of mine. She was a night club singer...and a bitch also.

Nancy Dumpling commented on 10.18.05
Why would she? It's a lovely name for a dog.

Smart Set commented on 10.18.05
Does she also find the name Mildred a disadvantage?

Smart Set commented on 10.18.05
Mustang, Mildred and mattresses.

Chaf commented on 10.18.05
Hush wim, she's very sensitive about her figure.

wim commented on 10.18.05
isn't she a bit heavy for this leash?
