Yesterday evening I'd photographed two matts (a two-shot of a leaning cot matt in the foreground with a double lying in the distance) near the school's main gates, so I left by that gate to see if they were still there. The big one was, and as I approached it with three of my progeny I saw a man across the road pointing a camera in our direction. He saw that I'd seen him, so he told me he had taken the pic to send to the council, as the matt had been there a month. He showed me the pic, and there we were: passers-by - members of the public being "inconvenienced" by the mattress menace! He said we had "looked so perfect", but he wouldn't send that pic if I objected. I said it was OK. I told him that there had been another matt there yesterday - a cot one - but it had gone now. That was his, he said; he'd taken it to the dump now. His wife had just put it out front for a while. (Blame the wife!)Little did he know his matt had been documented by SS, the world's leading SM snapper. I thought it all very amusing and ironic, somehow. |

I'm afraid she might catch up. We have just upgraded Birdee's work phone to a camera one so she can join in! She's always seeing them on her travels! |
