I just looked up on an online diciontary "tiriti whāriki moenga" is maori for "street mattress" must practice pronouncing it.

english and the native polynesian "maori" language are both official. but maori is only spoken fluently by a relatively small minority [125,000]. There are a lot of maori placenames and some words or phrases have leaked into NZ english. For instance if I said that this mattress was "Ka Pai" most new zealanders would know that it means "good".

do you have several official languages in nz?

Te Ahumairangi Hill they call it now. Wellington is surrounded by has these things called "Town Belts" that the original settlers decided should stay nice and green and not get built on. So its sort of like a park but lots of bushes and trees.

you live very nice, but why is the road sign blurred on streetview? almost a dead end street, but an amazing landscape, and what are the mountains a bit more to the left and behind this building?

rather a lot of nice turns on your road
